The Gift for Kindness

Raising money for amazing person Rita Slapna who spends most of her free time cleaning local parks.

On March 2020, Rita was made redundant after 15 years working for a retail company. The loss of her job and loneliness caused tremendous anxiety and depression. Struggling to find a job she felt worthless just sitting at home and doing nothing.

Rita found her partial healing from depression through preserving the environment of local parks. She thinks, there are several positive aspects in her new activity, being outdoor reduces the feelings of depression and boosts endorphins, being a useful member of society makes you feel worthy,  picking up rubbish is also a good exercise and the most important thing of giving back at least something to the environment as we take so much from it.
