The Dr. Keith Cannon Endowment
Tax deductible
Dr. Keith Cannon was a communications professor at Wingate University for 25 years. During that time, he mentored and taught thousands of students, earning the loving nickname of Doc.
He has always said that if he won the lottery, he would want to fund scholarships.
He lost his battle to cancer on Feb. 4, 2019. His endowment fund was fully funded as Feb. 2, 2019. But we are not done fundraising!
We've partnered with Wingate University to create the Dr. Keith Cannon Endowment Scholarship. This scholarship is specifically for:
1. Students from North or South Carolina
2. Students who major in communications
3. Students with a financial need
Since we hit our goal, we are no longer accepting donations through GoFundMe. If you would like to donate, please visit wingate.edu and select Give. Make sure you enter Dr. Keith Cannon Endowment when asked where to donate your gift.
E-mail [email redacted] for questions or more information.
