Hello friends near & far. To begin, I’d like to thank you personally for viewing this Go Fund Me for The Dentici Family. This GFM is dear to my heart because Jackie, Dave & their beautiful three children are dear to my heart.
Dave & Jackie’s beautiful love story is far and, few... being childhood sweethearts. They’ve been together for much longer and, have so many stories more than I have room to type here but, again those who know this family and, how far back their story begins, knows the depth of their love.
Originally from New York & now residing in North Carolina have worked so hard to provide a happy life for themselves & their three children. But, by happy life I mean that Dave worked himself to the bone to always provide for his loving family. One of a kind & truly devoted, he never faultered in that catagory.
Over the past month, Dave began to feel “symptoms” of what seemed like migraine headaches with dizzy spells & high blood pressure but, due to the nature of his profession, he always shrugged it off thinking he’d be fine not knowing what lies ahead... didn’t think it would turn out this horrifying! Last week was the limit for Jackie to watch her strong husband of so many years deteriorate before her eyes & rushed him to the ER. Upon arriving & after being fully examined, a CTScan determined that Dave had a 5cm tumor on his left cerebellar. Traumatized by this result, they then rushed Dave to CMC within days awaiting a neurosurgeon to take on their case & save Dave’s life. After arriving at CMC, they once again examined Dave, did further evaluation, MRI, CTScans & lab work to only be given the worst news of their existence...
Dave has multiple masses beginning as colon cancer, appendix, spreading to his spine & now brain.
Due to his heart rate constantly dipping, they’ve sedated Dave & placed a drain in his brain to relieve some of the excess fluid buildup (as the Dr.’s explained this is the beginning of hydrocephalus) and, are planning their means of attack to remove the tumor on his brain to be biopsied & find out which stage Dave’s at.
As you could probably imagine Jackie, the children and, their entire family & friends near and, far are devastated! We don’t know the extent of where all the masses are & what stage Dave’s at but, hope is fading and, Jackie is lost.
Anyone who knew this family knew that Dave was the person who predominantly helped his family survive by working himself 15-18 hours a day/7 days a week! Now that his life lies in the hands of neurosurgeons & oncologists... there are no means to survive with Jackie by his side 24/7.
This is where I come in... to plea on their behalf. To our WBHS Alumni, neighbors, family & friends but, not limited to WB... but, countrywide! Please find it in your heart to look in your own heart & find compassion to donate to this GFM. They need us. They need us!!
If you can’t donate financially, then please pray... HARD!
