organization that rescues working dog breeds & mutts in order to rehabilitate, train, domesticate and find them a furever home while providing sanctuary for them until they do at The Dank Dog Ranch.

The Dank Dog Ranch is located in Valley Center, CA a charming agricultural small town in North County San Diego, California.

We house and pawstively reinforce train our rescues with basic-to-advanced level obedience skills, all while teaching them fundamental & domesticated day to day living. Our adoption program is also designed to thoroughly vet & prepare both the dank dog & hooman for a pawfect match. Our program's goal is to establish a genuine soulmate/souldog bond, build pack leadership, and provide necessary tools & guidance to set-up each unique adoption for success.

The intention of this fundraiser is three fold:

(1) to help us complete our rescue's barn build, and sanctuary live-in rooms/suites.

(2) to help us purchase a safe and dedicated rescue transport vehicle.

(3) to suppawt day-to-day rescue operating & care costs.

Property History:

The ranch has historically been used as a K9 police training facility, and it's seen better days. We have made tremendous headway to renovate, demolish & improve the property for everyday use & function.

Property Progress:

Our fundraising efforts & partnerships with the The Dank Dog Collective™, dba The Dank Dog Soap Co & The Dank Dog Ranch, allowed us to improve the property & finally open up our gates in October 2023 by appointments, online, and community marketing, sales, & outreach only.

Rescue Barn Updates:

We have demolished the rusted & old chain link fence kennels that were not safe or acceptable for daily use in the 40x70 foot barn.
We preserved the foundation as an open space, opened up the interior of the barn to allow for future use and interconnectivity.
We've secured new Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning system (HVAC) equipment (only). That will be used to upgrade our enclosed dog barn space that is intended for the live-in rescues & sanctuary dogs.

Rescue Playground Updates:

We leveled out and cleaned out an empty overgrown/weed and gopher ridden acre of the land next to the barn. As well as removed an aged & wasteful irrigation system.
We've laid out the foundation for turf grass, installed the dog grade turf, several running waterspouts, irrigation lines, and drainage sites, as well as installed outdoor weather proof electrical connections.
We've laid out ~4000 sq ft of pet safe & durable artificial turf grass, approximately 2,500 of DG walking path surrounding the playground
Built a large 15ft x 15ft gazebo for shade & design, installed over 300ft of dimmable string lights throughout the playground for late & night time play.
Placed hooman & dog seating, set out areas for shade.
Planted several pet safe & sensory plants & flowers & herbs, 2 mature large trees that will grow out for shade, laid out several puppy obstacle courses for training.
Installed several 3 professional poop bag stations with hand sanitizer pumps & placed trash stations for guests to discard.
Installed a 100 gallon galvanized steel stock tank with a functioning sand/filter pump for communal dog use that is clean and safe for daily consumption.

Grooming Station & Soapery Shop & break room:

we renovated 3 extremely run down & forgotten rooms next to the ranch barn & converted them into a grooming station for the rescues, soapery shop, and a break room with a functioning restroom, sink & additional storage with a refrigerator for human use.
for the grooming wash room section we replaced the exterior damaged door with a new one, replaced fluorescent lighting & a ventilation fan. We sealed the concrete floors with epoxy sealant, painted the walls, upgraded the lighting. Upgraded to a tankless water heater, fixed electrical & plumbing. Also installed a new heavy duty commercial sized grooming wash station, electric drying adjustable station.
for the soapery shop we replaced 2 old damaged doors, 1 slider & 1 exterior dutch door, we also sealed the concrete floors with epoxy sealant, painted the walls, replaced with a new in-wall AC unit, new lighting + a fan for airflow. Installed rustic shelving, wifi, checkout station, chalk painted section wall.
Built an Al-fresca (outside dog was station) for self-services/bookings & appointment's
