It is with heavy heart that I inform everyone that Danny will ultimately succumb to his injuries. He fought hard. He had an abundance of support from friends and family, but, Danny's future is being written for him. All donations will be utilized for Danny's funeral expenses to help give him a proper goodbye. Much love and respect to the Gavitt family, and all of his friends/family who offered up support and donations. The family greatly appreciates you all.

On Saturday, November 25, 2017, Daniel "Rojo" Gavitt fell victim to a brutal assault that has landed him in ICU fighting for his life. He is currently in a coma and has not been able to communicate with anyone since the incident.
Many of you have been offering prayers and support. For that, Danny's family is forever grateful. All of the phone calls, text messages, Facebook comments and posts have gone a long way in keeping Danny's family focused on his care, and making sure they remain positive for him.
Danny is an extremely friendly, loyal, and kind human. He enjoys putting on shows with various bands, riding his motorcycle, and playing guitar with his dad. His friend base extends across the globe, and Danny has never hesitated to help any of them who were in need. He is that guy who will literally give you the shirt off his back if you need it. He truly is loved and respected by many.
Danny didn’t deserve what happened to him, and the incident has not only impacted Danny’s life, but has also transgressed to the lives of his family as well. Danny’s father, Mike Gavitt is a great friend of mine. Watching him deal with this situation touches me as if it was my own child in that hospital room. I can’t even begin to imagine how hard it is for Mike to remain positive and focused during this time.
Mike and Danny are best friends. They have always been there for one another, and this time is no different. Mike is spending all of his time working with hospitals, doctors, caregivers, and of course the dreaded bill collectors; all while trying to provide his son the support he needs to pull through his injuries. Mike’s business is now suffering, and he is struggling with the financial impacts of the entire incident.
As Mike’s friend, I am asking all of my contacts to consider a small donation to helping Mike stay afloat during this time, and to allow him to make the right medical decisions for his son Danny. I know it’s the holiday season and budgets are tight, but every little bit we can spare will go a long way for someone who is not able to focus on making ends meet at the moment.
