Juliana Montgomery (age 11,  daughter of Angela and Dan Montgomery) and Karissa Fryar (age 15, daughter of Michael Fryar and Sheri & Vito Bonanno) of The Dancer's Studio* in Northford, CT were recently selected by the United States committee to represent the U.S. as members of the national tap team at the World Tap Dance Championships in Riesa, Germany this November! Montgomery and Fryar reside in Guilford, CT and will join dancers from Connecticut, New York, and New Jersey at the World Championships!

The IDO World Tap Dance Championships are the "Olympics of Tap Dance" and over 35 countries participate.   The U.S. Tap Team is composed of elite tap dancers from around the country, ages 7-18. Being selected to the U.S. Tap Team to represent the country is a humble honor and a sincere privilege.

The expenses associated with this trip are beginning to accumulate, but these girls are determined to make their dreams come true! Please help support them as they go for GOLD with Team USA at the IDO World Tap Championships!

* Both athletes train and compete at The Dancer’s Studio in Northford under the direction of Sharon DiCrosta and tap teacher Sheri Bonanno.

The Dancer’s Studio, founded in 1972 by Sharon DiCrosta is located in Northford, CT.   They offer classes for Pre-Schoolers through adults. Tap, Ballet, Contemporary/Lyrical, Jazz, Modern, Hip-Hop and Acrobatics.
