Dan was the voice of Lake Fenton Varsity sports until he passed away of a heart attack in January 2009. In the Fall of 2010, the Lake Fenton Football Stadium Press Box was named after him in his memory.
This GoFundMe account is to help raise money for a sign to be put above the press box in his honor. After 7 years it is a long time coming to get it on the press box! Also, the proceeds from this account will help go towards a yearly scholarship program for Lake Fenton senior athletes and a football summer camp for all ages, in Dan's honor. We want to continue to help young people the way Dan did every day.
Dan was a big part of the Lake Fenton community. He announced all the varsity sporting events, he sponsored many teams and athletes, he was the President of Youth Football for many years, kick started the youth cheerleading and pom pom squad, built the middle school football equiptment building, re-seeded athletic fields and everything inbetween. If anyone needed anything he was the man to go to for it.
Let's make sure his legacy continues on and this is just a small first step in doing so. Thank you for your support! and GO BLUE DEVILS!
