Hi everyone!
My name is Kacey. For the last 7 months I have been on maternity leave caring for our baby son. During that time, we were struck with a worldwide pandemic, leaving many stuck indoors with lots of hours of spare time. For myself, I personally felt that I had very limited spare time, spending what precious time I have with my son. So during his naps and bedtimes, I started a podcast.
I have always been intrigued by true crime. I would watch the latest documentaries and clean the house listening to podcasts. Because of this, I thought, what better way to spend this limited free time than putting all of my knowledge and research to good use.
And so, The Cult Vault was born. A podcast that explores notorious cults from our history, diving deep into cult behaviour and the psychology of different sect leaders. I hope to tell the stories of survivors and maybe one day even fund raise for survivor charities. By telling these stories through testimonies and interviews, perhaps we can educate potential future victims of warning signs to be weary of, or offer victims of these groups a safe place to understand they are not alone.
My maternity leave is about to end. The purpose for this fundraising is to gift me with the necessary tools to continue creating this content. By doing this, I can also continue to release weekly episodes for dedicated listeners.
I cannot put into words how support towards my goals would help me. I couldn't quite explain just how grateful and appreciative it would be. You would be contributing towards my dreams of creating a successful listening platform for those who are like me: have a keen curiosity around true crime and history.
