Help for Cromwell Family After Violent Attack

Donation protected
As most of you know, this past week has been nothing short of unimaginable trauma for The Cromwell Family. As a friend and neighbor to this family, I am asking for your much needed support.

Around 11:45pm Saturday February 4th, Justin had just returned home, where his wife Tara and their three children were inside.

Unbeknownst to Justin or neighbors, three heavily armed men had been periodically driving thru their neighborhood, in his absence, since about 10:30 that night (this was observed via video footage from their home and surrounding neighbors).

Upon Justin’s arrival back home, he noticed a Maroon Camaro with no license plates. This vehicle was parked on the corner just outside the entrance to their neighborhood. Justin made eye contact with a man standing against the Camaro. This man was wearing a full faced ski mask, only exposing his eyes. Justin was sure to let Tara know what he observed to give her a heads up as he felt something wasn’t right.

Just after midnight Justin was in their garage. The garage door was open with the lights off, watching the front surveillance cameras trying to see where the Camaro went. At 12:10, to his surprise, he watches as the Camaro slowly comes around the corner towards their house and stops out front. At this point Justin armed himself.

(Justin & Tara’s youngest child, Kinlee was asleep on the couch upstairs above the garage and on the top floor Wyatt was asleep in his room, their oldest child Sophia still awake in her room.)

The 3 masked suspects, all with rifles in hand, had quietly exited their vehicle and attempted to sneak into their opened, dark garage, unaware that Justin was on the other side of the vehicle inside. Justin was able to react quickly and shoot towards the suspects. As the 3 men began to run out of the neighborhood, they return gunfire, aimlessly shooting towards their house, cars, neighbors’ houses, leaving their stolen car in front of their house. Tara immediately ran upstairs to her kids, everyone was safe but scared.

Justin continued to defend his home and protect his family to the best of his ability, however, the suspects began firing into his living room, cars, neighbors vehicles and neighbors homes. The suspects fired countless shots into the back of the family’s home as they fled, leaving thousands of dollars in damages, and unbearable trauma to this family. In an effort to escape police, the suspects continued to attempt vehicle theft and entry to homes in the surrounding area as police searched for them into the early hours of Sunday Morning.

One suspect was confirmed shot, and is currently residing in Snohomish County, there are two suspects still at large.

While we are so thankful there is no physical harm to this beloved family, the mental/emotional damage is far more than I can put into words.

I am asking for monetary support for this family as the cost to restore their home, vehicles and temporary living situation is well beyond anything they should have to worry about at this time. They are small business owners and taking much needed time to care for their own wellbeing as well as their children’s. The Cromwell’s caring for themselves and their children during this time has meant losing much needed income in this already difficult time. They do have Renters Insurance, Car Insurance and Medical Insurance to help with the costs of repairs, therapy, temporary housing, rental cars and relocation costs as living in their home no longer feels safe. Even with these resources they have already exceeded several thousands spent in repairs, and several thousand more is anticipated.

I have attached a link to the Q13 News Story Detailing the severity of this situation, as well as suspects descriptions. If you live in the Marysville or surrounding areas, please review any and all camera footage you may have on personal security devices from 10 pm Saturday 02.03.2024 - 7 am Sunday 02.04.2024.

If you or someone you know have any information pertaining to this matter, please contact Marysville PD as this is an ongoing investigation.
