Help The Rojas Family Fight Cancer

Donation protected
Maryori Rojas has been battling a family history of cancer for over 16 years ( half of her life).
At age 9 she moved with her family from South America  to the United States in search of a better future. Her family struggled financially as immigrants but she was a thriving young lady until the age of 16. Maryori began having horrible headaches  and when she finally went to the ER, she was told she  had a brain tumor (Giant Cell Astrocytoma) which needed immediate surgery.  Despite having no medical insurance, she went into the OR that day. Her surgery  lasted over 10 hrs, she lost much of her motor skills especially from the left side of her body. She needed intense physical therapy; learning how to write all over again. As she was recovering, 8 months post surgery,  Maryori's mother realized she was 6 months pregnant and diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer.  Her  mom went into labor and gave birth to a premature baby girl, within 1 week  of her baby's birth, Maryoris mom passed away. Maryori was unable to mourn her mothers passing  as she was now responsible for having to raise her 5 year old brother, 3 year old sister and a newborn baby.  Maryori knew nothing about being a mom but  she had to grow up really fast. In 2015, she again  was faced with the regrowth of her tumor. She was battling with peripheral vision loss, visual disturbances, hydrocephalus and migraines. Maryori had to undergo surgical treatment for a second time. She had a permanent shunt placed from her abdomen to her brain in order drain the cerebral spinal fluid accumulation, her tumor remained inoperable. Recently on October 2016 , Maryori was diagnosed with breast cancer metastasized to her lymph nodes.  She has been undergoing chemotherapy, and has an upcoming surgery in July, which is then to be followed by radiation. Her medical and family bills have become substantially high, stacking up for years and unmanageable since her chemo  sessions started.  She is on the verge of losing her job due to her prolonged absence, and will no longer be able to work for months post surgery. Despite all her trials, Maryori is vibrant, never admitting defeat. She is the kind of women who's smile fills up the room with joy and laughter. She always has a cheerful spirit and gives her all to her family and friends no matter what she is going thru. She is a true inspiration to many of us, she even attempts to  go to work after her chemo sessions but  some days she is  just too weak to make it. Maryori and her family are in need of much financial support; she needs the  funds in order to continue treatment and financial relief from her past medical bills which continue to pile on. Please keep Maryori and her family in your prayers. Help Maryori Beat Cancer!
