Friends of The Codnor Inn,
The Codnor Inn has been an institution in CodnorDerbyshire for many years now. Known for being the last Mining Pub in the area, we've always been and still are one of the favourite drinking spots for all walks of life, creative minds, lost souls that have many a tail to tell. A strong supporter of local charities and well recognised for supporting HM Forces charities and hosting events for the community.
We never thought it would come to this but then again, who did. With the prospect of having to stay shut for possibly longer than anticipated, we’re facing an immense struggle to find the funds to open the pubagain once life gets back to some sort of normality. We are getting minimal support from government/local council but unfortunately that won’t even come close to cover the costs to survive.
Which is why we’re turning to you, our regulars, supporters, fans to help us out. We think we play an important part in a lot of people’s lives and really, really want to continue to do so. We fully appreciate it that these are tough times for everyone in every aspect of life but are still hopeful we can find the financial support needed to go on.
For those of you familiar with The Codnor Inn, and we know there’s quite a few of you around, there will be quite a few parties once we’re up and running again and you’ll all be invited to join us. For those of you who live a bit further away, you'll have our eternal gratitude. Long story short we would be incredibly thankful if you could sponsor us and are looking forward to seeing you again as soon as possible.
