The Cassone Family

A few words come to mind when you think about the Cassone Family. Hardworking, generous, and big-hearted. A family that has been through more than most of us could imagine, but one that is always willing to help out a friend.
Dave, a Union Electrician, could light up a room with his smile, and if his smile did not get you Nancy's laugh, sure would! Which makes sense knowing her face is what welcomed everyone into Jersey Shore Arena. And both of their best qualities can be seen in their only child, Sydney.
This year was a big year for the Cassone Family. It was supposed to be a year of celebration and milestones. Sydney entered her first year of college at Rowan, and Nancy completed chemotherapy for Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma. All while Dave, a 2x cancer survivor himself, stood by both their sides. They thought the hard part was over, and they could finally move on to a new start.
Their lives took a turn six weeks ago. Nancy and Dave both came down with Covid-19, and as pure as anything, they stayed strong and did what they could to fight through as Sydney took over as their caregiver. Dave was the first one to be admitted to Jersey Shore Hospital and shortly after Nancy followed. Fighters. They have always been Fighters. Dave fought through cancer and kidney disease, and Nancy fought cancer as well. Dave was quickly put on a ventilator, and things looked to be getting better. But unfortunately, Dave lost his battle this weekend and passed on Saturday morning. Nancy is still fighting her battle with Covid-19.
The Cassone Family needs our support during this time. Whether you know them directly or can open your heart up to a stranger, this is a family who needs you right now. Sydney, just like any 19 year old, should be worried about finals, not how to pay for funeral services and medical bills, and Nancy needs to put 100% of her attention towards recovery and can do that knowing we have all stepped in to help.
Please open your hearts and help out a family who would step in to help you, no questions asked. Given the circumstances, your generosity will be put immediately to use to help with bills and services. We know Covid-19 has impacted many families, and our thoughts and prayers are with them as well.
