The Brent Williams Family Support Fund

If you have the pleasure of knowing Brent Williams, you know him as a loving husband, a doting father, a supportive brother and a caring son.  He’s a hard-worker and sure to make you laugh.  And then laugh again and again.  He has a positive impact on everyone he meets, and now we have the chance to send some positivity back his way.

Brent and Monique Williams reside in Bloomington, IL and are parents to an adorable little girl, Tinley.  He was hospitalized on November 5th and since diagnosed with Guillain Barre Syndrome, also known as AIDP.  This is an autoimmune disease that in his case, attacked his nervous system leaving him temporarily paralyzed and unable to breathe on his own.  He has moved from local hospitals to Northwestern Hospital and Shirley Ryan AbilityLab in Chicago. 

Thankfully, he is slowly starting to recover by gaining some movement back in his arms and legs, but it could be months to a full year before he’s able to resume function like he did before his diagnosis.  As a healthy 29 year old dad, you can imagine the frustration and stress this puts on him and his family as he won't be capable of returning to work for some time.

Many have asked how they can help.  We want to make sure he has the best care and resources available to him.  We want to alleviate any financial stress this situation has caused his family so he can focus solely on recovering.   The funds raised will help with travel expenses as he remains in Chicago, living expenses, medical expenses and whatever else the family needs.  Whether it’s in the form of a donation or a prayer, I know his family will be incredibly grateful for your generosity.
