The Bellefontaine Family

We all know to not take any day for granted, and right now more than ever our community can resonate with those words. Your life can change in the blink of an eye and right now, our friend and his beautiful family is currently experiencing this.

On Tuesday, January 30th our friend Lee and his two sons Chase and Fielder were in an accident in Porters Lake, Nova Scotia. We are so thankful the boys walked away with only seat belt bruises and just a tiny fracture in Fielder’s thumb. Both were released that night from hospital care, but Lee suffered injuries to the legs and abdomen which required a lot of work.

He will have more surgeries to come, but the community supporting him are being positive and thankful he is still with us. Only a few days after this tragic accident, he is speaking and up to his old tricks that we all love him for. He is one of the toughest and most resilient people we know.

Lee and his family have a very long road ahead of them, but they are being supported from coast to coast. This family has made positive impacts on the lives of so many (and continues to do so). While Lee is healing, our community is supporting his family. Allison and his three boys are his entire life – and we are going to ensure that they are well taken care of.

Their friends are aiming to raise a tremendous amount of money to support them during this time and the future.

It takes a village … and we know this community is one of the best villages you can have.
