The Beautiful Life of Suzan Maharaj Dookie

Our mother, the beautiful and youthful Suzan Maharaj lived a brave and courageous life. For the last 11 years, she battled colon cancer, but never let her children feel that she was weak. 11 years later, Suzan bravely ended her battle and drifted peacefully on September 29th. 

She was a woman that put her entire life out for her family and friends and gave her children the best memories even through her last days fighting. Her family was led to believe that she had weeks to months, but God did not want her to suffer any longer. She did not deserve it. In the painful last moments, her children and husband left everything behind to be with her, and she slept peacefully listening to the same songs she loved to sing. 

Due to her very sudden passing, Suzan's family decided to create this as a way for the many people who have been reaching out to help support her final costs. It gives her family great peace to know that she was loved by so many, and anyone that knows her knows that she loved them as well. 

Rest in peace to the most beautiful woman, sister, and wife: Gangadaye Maharaj Dookie. There will never be another mother like her.
