The Aiza Ballera Family Fund

In collaboration with Joe Heaps of eSpeakers.
There but for the grace of God go I. Aiza Ballera, age 30, was my fantastic Virtual Assistant living happily with her husband and 5-year-old daughter in the Philippines. I found Aiza through Upwork, an online employment platform that has operated across the world for several years. Aiza was one of their top performers and had been working with me since last June 2019. Aiza and I communicated almost every week day for six months.
On Dec 28th, while watching television with her family, a truck driver lost control of his vehicle and crashed into their home. Aiza instinctively dove for her child and SAVED HER. However, she suffered the brunt of the crash and was pinned under the vehicle until help arrived to rush her to the hospital.
Braindead for two weeks, she died Sunday morning, January 12, 2020.
Her family is devastated, the house destroyed, and I had to coach her distraught husband on how to tell his precious daughter what happened to Mommy.
Here is a link to the newspaper article about the accident for those of you who think this may be a scam. https://palawan-news.com/truck-rams-through-private-residence-injures-six/
I am setting up this Go Fund Me account to help raise money for the funeral expenses and countless other expenses that this family now faces.
We are literally raising money as fast as we can to get Aiza buried!!!
--Their home was nearly destroyed.
--Much of the family valuables including food, furniture, electronics and more were damaged or destroyed.
--Aiza's income was essential in keeping the family afloat.
--Aiza's daughter, at 5 years old, still doesn't know what happened to Mommy.
No amount will be too small. Every bit helps. Your generosity will help this loving family to pay for Aiza's funeral and get back on their feet in a way that would make her proud.
Thank you for your support and please Spread The Word.
