The Adult Store, Short Film, Fundraiser

The Adult Store, is a 2022 Griffith Graduate Project.

The story follows three best friends as they dare to kickstart adulthood by visiting an adult store for the first time, discovering more then they thought about their relationship with sex, themselves and each other.

 

Our Mission

As creatives, storytelling allows us to have difficult conversations and explore topics that are sometimes uncomfortable, misconstrued – or even shrouded in shame. Sex and pleasure are often underrepresented and complicated topics of conversations, especially for female-presenting and queer individuals. Despite its universality, personal explorations of identity, love and sexuality are inherently intimidating and often shied away from mainstream content.

 

The Adult Store is a project that is unafraid to dive deep into this sometimes scary terrain. It’s a story daring to be vulnerable, and we hope it will provide a safe space for audiences to explore what are sometimes intimidating desires and fears.

 

 

How can you help?

We have an exciting crew of talented creatives coming together to create this short film. As a student project, we are responsible for funding the film entirely ourselves; however, these demands are sometimes hard to meet as university students. We're looking at roughly a $ 17,000 budget to carry this project to its final product and hoping to raise $3000 to get us there.
