People's Choice Award
This is an expansion of the 2018 awards (previously 11 categories).
The cost of last year's awards was close to $800 and with the addition of 7 new or expanded categories, this year we project the overall cost to be approximately $1100.
My intention is to personally fund as much as half of the overall costs. The remainder, I would like to fund through this project. Anything over the goal will be put directly into the awards.
November 2019 will begin the nomination period with voting beginning January 2020.
Presenters from throughout the MTG community will begin filming their presentations in February, once voting is complete, with the award show scheduled for March 2020.
This project is a labor of love. The intention is to spread positivity and pride throughout our hard working MTG community and to give content creators, many who go unseen, some well earned recognition.
Notice how the categories are broken up by audience size. This was done specifically to highlight creators who may not be the most popular, but are spending their own time and money to produce high quality content that adds so much to our gaming community.
This award show boasts no sponsors and yields no profit. It is done only to direct everyone's attention to as many content creators as possible through the nomination and voting process.
It is a celebration of what we do as content creators and it is my hope that this award show will add as much to the content creators' lives as their content has added to mine.
