Thaqalayn App

We are pleased to announce the launch of the newly-founded Thaqalayn Hadith Library app – a unique project aiming to garner a long-lost connection between the followers of the Ahlul-Bayt with our often unappreciated and overlooked Hadith corpus. The new app will: - consist of exclusively classical Shi’a sources; - contain over 25,000 translated narrations; - include chain gradings where possible (currently available for all volumes of Al-Kafi). Our Goal: To serve all non-Arabic speaking followers of the Ahlul-Bayt in familiarising themselves with and benefitting from the treasures of the Imams of Ahlul-Bayt. Many in the Shi’a community lack a relationship with our own Hadith corpus, often knowing more about the literature of other schools of thought in Islam. We wish to serve as a reference point for all English translations of our classical Hadith sources, to assist others for research purposes and to foster a greater interest in the Shi’a community with unearthing and utilising our own heritage with confidence. Our Plan: To launch the app with all that we currently have and to constantly work on improving and increasing its potential. Our dedicated team of volunteers are constantly working on further translations and chain gradings, editing, app development, web design and future projects including the publishing of hard-copies of translated works. Where Your Money Goes: Donations go towards a range of necessities, from supporting professional and qualified translators who have studied the sciences of Hadith, to paying for app developers and web design. Funding will also be set aside towards the fees for sustaining the app on Apple and Android, as well as future projects we have in mind.
