This Thanksgiving season, we’re coming together to support food-insecure kids and families across Reno and Sparks who may be struggling due to the ongoing government shutdown and loss of SNAP benefits.

Our goal is simple: to provide “Thanksgiving in a Bag” ready-to-eat meal kits filled with instant mashed potatoes, canned turkey, gravy, green beans, and stuffing. Each bag feeds 2–3 people and costs just $9–$10 to create. We hope to prepare at least 30 bags, but with your help, we can make even more and reach more households in need.

The bags will be distributed through local Karma Boxes and by connecting with schools to identify children and families experiencing food insecurity. Some families may need more than one bag, and we want to ensure no one goes without a warm holiday meal this year.
