Dear SACDS members,
What a year it has been so far! There have been many bumps along the way and no one could have predicted the struggles of just obtaining the necessary PPE to run a dental practice. We hope SACDS has provided you a bit of support to lean on. We were very fortunate to have been able to provide you with free PPE throughout the year.
It was a monumental and difficult task that required acquiring, transporting, unloading, and distributing. All of this allowed many dental offices to stay open during the pandemic. We wouldn't have been able to provide you the free PPE if it weren't for our hard working SACDS executive director, Melinda. Her persistence, dedication and hard work in obtaining the PPE is admirable and amendable. She has worked tirelessly this year to keep our SACDS members informed with the ever-changing information about Covid-19. For those who do not know who Melinda is, you have probably already met her if you picked up your PPE, been to any shred-a-thons, or had been to any of the past CE courses. She is usually the first person who greeted you at an event, who handed you your PPE, who answered your questions via email or phone, and who did everything with a smile.
We hope you get a chance to get to know her at some point. She is an amazing person. Melinda had dedicated herself to SACDS for the past 19 years and we are very fortunate to have her. She is truly a pillar of the SACDS. The SACDS Board members show our appreciation as often as we can, yet we have heard from many SACDS members who would like to also express their gratitude in some way.
We are giving our SACDS members the opportunity to show their appreciation for Melinda by giving a gift. All gifts received will be given to Melinda directly along with your messages. Please make any contributions before December 6, 2020.
