Durfey is retiring!
What do we get a man that has given so much to so many for so many years!?!? That has been the question we have ALL been asking. And after some brainstorming we have landed on a plan. Or should we say landed the plane - haha
Durfey has many hobbies, but one he really enjoys - is flying. Durfey is also a shared owner of a Cessna 172. One share is owned by one of his daughters, who is gifting her share to Durf. The other share is owned by a former student/now friend, who is ready for her own plane.
Our idea is to contribute to the third share and potentially upgrade his equipment.
Since Durfey has been an advisor, a father figure and a friend to so many people, and knowing how much he loves flying (and based on the volume of requests we have been receiving as to what to get him) we wanted to open this opportunity to others who may want to contribute in getting him this gift.
If Durfey helped you soar, let’s help him soar!
Couple of notes:
*This is open to any and everyone that would like to contribute to this gift for Durfey.
*We’ve set the target low, and have already reached it.
Why? As mentioned above, our gift idea was to contribute to the buy out of the third share. After receiving numerous questions about what would be a good gift for Durf, we decided to open this up to everyone, but do not want there to be any pressure on an specific number to hit, we also dont want pressure on individual contribution sums.

All notes/comments/messages left to Durfey will be compiled in a small notebook for him to go through as a keepsake. So feel free to put what you want!

*Lastly, Durfey doesnt know about this! It is meant to be a HUGE surprise so :) So please keep this QUIET until the right moment :))
The group gift will contribute to:
1. 3rd share of the plane ($7,000)
2. New Paint Job - ($4,000-8000)
3. Upgrade the GPS equipment for B-C Airspace - ($12-18,000)
