Dear Friends and Family,
Since our son Christian went to Heaven, Ellie and I have committed to using our pain and the time we have here to serve others and live with purpose. In December, our family will travel to Thailand to assist friends whose parents have been missionaries in Thailand for over 4 decades! Tim and Maureen Searles support a Children's Home that houses, feeds, clothes and educates abandoned children so that they may feel the Lord's love and build a faith-filled life. They truly are doing God's work, and we need your help!
The Children's Home is in a remote Northern Region of Thailand, located in the village of Nong Khai, a rural community of less than 150 homes. The Lord has provided some recent, much-needed electrical improvements to the home in addition to digging two wells to store water. But there is still a lot more work to do...
The Searles have the goal of transforming the 7 acre property into a self-sustaining farm that grows bananas, lemons, peppers and corn for their community. In order to accomplish this, they will need infrastructure improvements to complete the electrical repairs, dig another cistern to store water for the crops, complete contruction of a roof and finish building the upstairs bunglow for the children. Once the upstairs is finished, the home will be able to house anywhere from 14-16 children.
Any donation amount is greatly appreciated! Please make your donations by 25 November so that we can ensure this is a productive and succesful trip!
