Help Me Make Monsters

They tell you to find that one thing that you can do better than anybody else and spend your life doing that thing.
Well, I make monsters.
Remember all the creatures that scared you as a kid? Moments from movies that you look back at, even now, and think, "Wow, that was so creepy and cool;" the monsters that still haunt you in the best way?
Someone made those creatures, those moments.
I want to be that someone.
My name is Dustin. I'm a 19 year old creature creator-- an artist that makes monsters for movies. I already have credits in three movies, including the upcoming Stephen King film, It. I won an award for an electric guitar I built from exotic woods; I made a singing, dancing moose for Evil Dead, the Musical, and have worked as a theater tech for 5 years. This isn't just my dream, it's something I've committed myself to, a path I've already worked hard to start walking down.
The next step on that path is to attend Cal Arts, a private school founded by Walt Disney, where artists are united under one creative roof. It's where I belong.
Cal Arts accepts only 2 students each year to their production and design department. Applying was a dream, something I did just to see if I was good enough. I knew that my family didn't have the money for tuition-- my mother is a widow working two jobs and my sister is recovering from a childhood cancer, so money is tight in our home.
When I found out that one of those 2 students was me, that I am good enough, I understood that this is more than a dream. This is a reality, something close enough to reach out and touch. Cal Arts really wants me in their program; they even doubled my merit scholarship. Even with that assistance, I still have a gap of $20,000 to cover. Classes start on September 3rd.
I am not afraid to work hard.
I have the skills.
I have the drive and dedication.
I just need help with tuition money.
Please donate and help me realize my dream of attending Cal Arts!
