Melanie and Mavis Need Our Help

Beginning in July, Melanie battled an uncommon strain of Group C STREP that doctors eventually linked to a recurring infection in her tonsils. By the end of August, she underwent a tonsillectomy procedure aimed to eliminate the infection, but was rushed to the ER the following day due to rare complications that caused massive swelling and large amounts of blood loss. Luckily, the doctors were able to stabilize her quickly and perform an emergency surgery to rectify the issues, but the process added almost two weeks to what was already considered to be a long and painful recovery.   

All in all, the many bouts of STREP and the extended recovery period from the two surgeries forced Mel to miss over a month of work; and while she is (thankfully) back on her feet and behind the counter again, her and Mavis’ living expenses for that period have come due. Our goal is to help cover some of those expenses and give Mel a little time to catch up.
