Support 9-year-old Sierra, Loss of Mother

Hello All,

I am starting this GoFundMe on behalf of the family of the mother and child victims of a fatal collision this past weekend just north of Edmonton, AB, at HWY-28 and Sturgeon. The mother was driving her Jeep with Sierra in the vehicle, when they were struck head-on by an impaired driver of the F-150 truck who is now in custody and being charged in their respective death and injury, with other impaired driving charges. Sierra's mother, Rhonda, is now gone and leaves her family to remember her. Sierra is just 9 years old and is currently fighting at the Stollery Children's Hospital. The family reports that she is now awake and doing well but has a long road to recovery ahead of her, not just physically but also emotionally and mentally after the sudden and tragic (and very much preventable) loss of her mother. She has suffered from a broken collar bone, ribs and fractured pelvis with some other internal injuries; her current scans are looking good and the doctors are very positive in the path of her recovery.

This GoFundMe is to support any additional costs associated with the very unexpected and tragic loss of Sierra’s Mom. This will go towards whatever Sierra will need in the coming weeks, months and years to help ensure she has all she needs and that she is taken care of.
