Fire damage

In the early hours of Friday 31st March someone trespassed on the Farm and poured petrol into the cabin used as a break area for the volunteers and as a shelter for the cats at nights and set it alight. It has been confirmed by the police, Scenes of Crime and and CID that this was a deliberate act. This cabin is only feet away from our front stables housing 4 of our larger horses.

We are devastated that anyone could do this. Lamont Farm was the first city farm in Scotland and is now the only one of its kind left, and is purely volunteer-run. Housing over 50 rescue animals of all types, it has been around for 46 years and is a big part of the community. We normally rely on donations from visitors and due to the fire we have had to close until we can at least survey the damage properly.

Any donations received will be so gratefully received, even as little as £1 will help us. We don't know how we will recover from this, we are trying ourselves to run some online fundraisers as the damage is quite extensive.

Please help in any way that you can. All donations will help to repair/replace any fire damage and to continue to support all of our animals here on the farm.
