Urgent Need to help Sandy and Medical Needs

URGENT !! Please help us raise money to cover some of Sandy's vet bill. Read her story and rescue below!!

We have over 900 followers, if everyone would just share and donate $5-$25 we could cover the vet cost !! Cost are now estimated at $8000.

UPDATE: 10/20/22 Sandy is doing well. The surgical team did the debridement surgery today. They are going to do a skin culture today, and she is getting antibiotics. They think it is a chronic wound, and they think it will with heal with “secondary intention” basically, by it self with woundcare. They are gonna probably recommend outpatient wound care for awhile…

With the help of Texoma Dog Ranch, a local 501c3 non profit, Sarah, a fearless warrior for the voiceless, and the amazing foster Cynthia located in Texas, Sandy is currently getting the care she desperately needs!

She sat at the shelter for nearly 5 days with a massive open wound and minimal vet care. We have no idea when she was hurt or how, but she is with an emergency vet in Texas being evaluated at this moment. She was abandoned in an apartment complex parking lot and ended up at the shelter with only minimal time due to overcrowding and injury. Something about Sandy touched many hearts and led to her rescue! She is a sweetheart who is just starting her road to recovery and a new beginning! She deserves the world!

If you would like to be a part of her road to recovery, we will be updating with all invoices and treatment information as we move forward including starting a Fundraiser. If you'd like to make a large payment directly to Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists (www.gcvs.com) please do, but we ask most donations go to the rescue as to not flood the clinic. The treatment plan for Phase 1 is attached and itemized. The deposit had to be paid prior to any additional Medical being performed on Sandy which was covered by credit and will be part of the fundraiser effort!

Texoma Dog Ranch Rescue believes in building relationships with shelters, other rescue groups,

owners, volunteers, adopters, and veterinary partners. We care for dogs with minor and serious

medical conditions. We try to raise funds while strengthening donor and grant support. We strive

to educate the public on responsible pet ownership through our Facebook posts, local media,

relationships with owners, adopters and volunteers, and participation in community events. We assist with dogs in distress without regard to age, breed or ease of placement as our finances

allow, dogs in the greatest need take priority.

Donated funds help supply food, medical care, vaccines and urgent rescue needs.
