Tessa’s Tumor - Boston Children’s Hospital

Hello All,

My name is Ashley I am the mother of Tessa. Tessa is 9 months old and

currently waiting to be seen at Boston Children’s Hospital for tumors near her spleen and left breast. I noticed the first mass on her lower left side @ 4 months old. Tessa has been seen by her primary care pediatrician and at numerous hospitals including Lourdes Medical (Binghamton, NY), University of Rochester (Rochester, NY) and Upstate Children’s Hospital ( Syracuse, NY). Finally, with a referral to Boston Children’s Hospital, Tessa has an opportunity to undergo a surgical mass removal from her abdomen and left breast including surrounding muscle tissue that has been affected. A biopsy will be performed to know whether these are cancerous or benign tumors. Since Tessa’s medical insurance will not cover any expenses at Boston due to it being considered an “out of network” hospital , I am hopeful that with your generous help and contribution, she will be able to receive medical treatment that could save her life.
