Terry John Bordelon Sr.

This is my dad, Terry Bordelon. He has served his country all his life. He has served in the United States Marine Corp, Louisiana Department of Corrections and various law enforcement agencies. He has raised his family and taught us the value of hard work and earning an honest living. However, all that hard work and service to his country and his family has taken a toll on his body. He is the hardest working and the most honest person I know! He has dedicated his entire life to his country and his family and has always taken pride in the fact that he was providing for his family! The last few years I have watched his health and his ability to work and provide for his family diminish tremendously! Also I have seen my father who is the strongest and prideful man I know slowly realize that he can not physically do all the things he once could do. This has been very hard and depressing for him and my mother. During this Covid 19 pandemic my father who was still struggling to go to work everyday with pain in hips, legs, feet and also having trouble breathing realized (with the urging of his family and doctor) that he was putting his life in danger everyday by continuing to go to work. My dad is 66 years old, a diabetic, has heart disease, asthma and chronic sinus problems and struggles to breath and walk everyday. He recently had a heart attack (which makes his 8th heart attack) due to congestive heart failure and also contracted Covid 19 and pneumonia. After several weeks in and out of the hospital he is finally home and doing better. Thank God!! However, he and my mother are stuck with hospital bills that they can not afford to pay and now that he is unable to work they are in desperate need of help!! He has applied for full disability compensation through veterans affairs but has not received any additional aid. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers!!
