PLEASE READ THE UPDATE
On March 5th, 2018 Teri was walking along a path in Granada, Spain when a tree (yes, a tree) fell on her, breaking her back among causing other complications. She's been going through surgery in Hospital Universitario Parque Tecnológico de la Salud and needs help getting back to the states. Due to the nature of her injury, she's unable to fly on a regular airplane and will require an Air Ambulance - an expensive endeavor for a transatlantic flight. We roughly estimate the costs to be around $75,000 minimum for this. If she does not get an air ambulance, she (along with her husband Roland) will be stuck in Spain and the hospital/lodging costs will likely exceed the cost of an air ambulance. We are also less certain about the quality of the care being provided due to different laws, language barriers, etc. Not to mention the support of her family and friends is also back here in the states. The emotional support is just as crucial as the medical support in this case. Roland can't do it alone - he is struggling to keep up because everyone he needs to call in America is awake at different hours. This is truly an emergency and Teri is not doing as well as we would have hoped. We seriously appreciate any help. Thank you.
