You never know what tomorrow can bring. 1 day life is good and the next, your whole world can be turned upside down.
On 11/14/19 my sister in law, Teresa was at one of her favorite places, with her horse "Magic". Her lower body began to go numb, she was in the pasture away from her phone and drug herself along the fence line to call my brother Thomas and then 911. From the ER , she was life flighted to Portland (4 hours away) for emergency heart surgery due to an aortic aneurysm. She told my brother to stay behind, go to work and take care of their 17 year old son, Michael and their pets. Michael is a very good kid, senior in high school, good grades and in Band. She has her horse, 2 dogs and her chickens. That is so typically her, worrying about all of them even as she is going into heart surgery.
After surgery the doctor said her aorta was rupturing from her heart to her stomach. She was not recovering as expected so the did an MRI 5 days later and found 3 blood clots in her brain, resulting in several strokes. The past 2 weeks have been touch and go. It didnt seem that she was going to come out of this. Yesterday they removed the breathing tubes and she said "Hello" to the doctor! We are now hopefull that she will recover. We also know this will be a long process.
My brother is a very hard working and proud man. It is difficult for him to ever ask for any kind of help. I know their family will need alot of help, support, love and prayers to get through this.
I want to thank everyone who donates and shares. Funds raised will go directly to my brother and be used for any uncovered medical/treatment, travel, living expenses and loss of income during this time to help my brother focus on his wife and their 17 year old, without worrying about how to keep up on everything.
