Teresa Egge Covid-19 Hospitalization

Donation protected

I’m Rebekah, Teresa’s second oldest daughter. My mom is currently in the hospital for with what the doctors are treating as Covid-19. Though she appears to be a “medically anomaly” who will not show positive on Covid tests, her doctor says she has all the classic signs.

Teresa was hospitalized on Saturday, 12/26 after being very ill for 10 days. She was dehydrated, very weak, had a persistently fever (103) for several days, and having trouble keeping her oxygen up.

Has condition has improved since Saturday, and is no longer needing the IV fluids, and her fever broke. She remains on oxygen and the doctors are watching a low heart rate, which is they think is a response to one of the medications she is receiving. She is still pretty tired, but it better spirits each day.

At this point it seems likely that she will not be able to come home from the hospital until Friday or Saturday (Jan 1st/2nd), and once she is home, she will still need to take it easy for a while, until she gets her energy back.

I’m making this page because my mom has been out of work for over 2 weeks now, and it looks like a few weeks before she will be well enough to go back. She is a small business owner and additionally  works a part-time job. Her store will remain closed until she is able to get back on her feet.

I would like for her not to have to worry about money when she gets home from the hospital, and not to try and rush back to work before she is ready.

Thank you in advance for your generosity and for keeping my mom in your thoughts!
