Tents and Heated Sleeping Bags for Homeless

Donation protected
We all have an Uncle bob but mine was the coolest.

I have a dream of heating up sleeping bags and delivering them to countless Chicago Natives that need our help. I would love to build this business into warm electrical blankets I can pick up, wash and recharge and deliver to the homeless with tents provided by workers of "Uncle Bob's Blankets" to give a little bit of relief to the brutal elements of this and every Chicago winter.

I will start with buying sleeping bags, tents, hand warmers and food. If this goes the way I hope God has given me the vision of then it will grow into employing young poverty stricken teens and adults helping provide them with work and a purpose possibly even employing the homeless to help other homeless and help to enhance the community.

God has told me to pick a burden and carry it. I will do my part, I promise, if you would help me to create a little good in this world.

I lost my job on March 15th 2020 with all the other servers in the restaurants of Chicago. I worked in some of the best Restaurants in Chicago as a lead server selling Wagyu Beef and Fine wine pairing and selling to some of the elites and CEO's of the biggest corporations. I absolutely loved my job and the nights with guests.

Recently I have been very depressed about the future, I should be in my Senior Year studying Fine Art and Secondary Education. My dream was to be an Art Teacher for High school students because I wanted to inspire and guide just like I needed so bad in my high school years.

This pandemic and social environment has had an impact so great that I lost my job, dropped out of my art university and am in the process of an obtaining apprenticeship with a Plumbing Union.  As a dad, I stay awake at night praying for the families of the homeless to find a way to rekindle the flames that once burned with love and to regain a sense of urgency to allow their homeless loved ones back in the house at least for the winter.

I had an Uncle who passed away July 4th 2019, and he absolutely would have been homeless had it not have been for a wonderful family friend who took him in his last years of life, he was the uncle who always lived on the couch in the basement for my childhood and he was the coolest, I never looked down on him for never having his own house or a stable job or for a burdensome dependance on liquor and cigarettes. He was just the most loving, wonderful man.

He would give the shirt off his back and the last quarter in his pocket to whoever needed it and It is my vision to make his love and legacy known by providing simple blankets and tents to the homeless. Hopefully it grows into a business to help the homeless even more than I can imagine, but let's just start with a blanket.
