UPDATE: Now officially titled, consider my book "(un)Spoken" a sort of anti-self help book. When we discard the layers and see the universal truths to all of our stories, the details of how we each got to where we find ourselves are ultimately irrelevant. It is in sharing our stories and finding others--anyone--who can relate to any thread woven into our unique tapestries, where we truly find some peace. Some love. And some real self-help. Godspeed.

A song I perform with my dad--not that well, mind you! *smile*--about telling our stories (May 2017).

(un)Spoken by Laura Arrington

There has always been a day you felt alone, exhausted, solo. Say what you want, keep your guards up...but I know you have.
I wrote a book. And only the first two chapters are about childhood. And at the final chapter's close, my story still isn't complete.
And I wrote it because people think their stories have to be big enough to be worthy of sharing. Relating.
To others.
This is not true. While my stories may be exclamation points to you, they are common ground to me. Places we can start together with the same common roots of universal feelings.
Somewhere out there, countless people need at least one chapter--one phrase even--to know they're not alone. To know their feelings are real--and okay. Understood even. (And maybe even a solid laugh at how ridiculously ridiculous I can be.) But...ultimately being loved, and finding love daily, solves our deepest wounds. And salves our scars.
I hope you will feel inspired to give a little, to help me publish this one-of-a-kind book. I will repay all donations from any initial sales, also with the promise of a gift unique to you as my token of appreciation for helping me get the story out. Start dialogues. Ease others. And spread love.
Regardless, at the end of the day at least you know I'm rooting for you. Us. And that is enough.
