Tell the world I've written a book

My name is Charles Weng. It is my lifelong dream to write and publish a work of fiction.

I have given my heart and soul to my debut work, A SUMMER IN THE LIFE OF LAURA KALENKO, which I self-published through Amazon. Set in the year 2013, it tells the story of a young woman upon the discovery of an extraordinary gift: the power of mind over matter. With her partner, they embark on a journey of love, kinship, and redemption.

It is a work that reflects an unwavering optimism that is my fundamental outlook on life, despite all the turmoil and strife we see in the news and experience firsthand.

It is the first book of a series. I am currently working on its sequel.

Right now, very few people know that my book exists.

I’m here to ask you humbly for the funds I lack to publicize the book, to pay for the necessary services that I cannot afford:

• Marketing campaign, and advertising;

• Entry fees for literary events and contests;

• Travel expenses to pitch my book to established publishers and attend promotional events;

• Printing costs of physical copies to distribute for review; etc.

With this effort, I hope to open the proper channels for readers to discover my book for themselves, and to be convinced to buy a copy.

I hold a modest day job at a game publishing company, barely making ends meet in these inflationary times. I spend all my free time working on the sequel. I hope that, once I have a sustainable income from royalties, I can finally transition towards becoming a full-time writer, telling stories that the whole world can enjoy.
