Teigan&O

Thank you for clicking on this link today. As many of you already know from our page on Facebook, "Teigan&O," we have been in the hospital for six long months due to Teigan's omphalocele and respiratory needs. An ompalocele is a abdominal wall defect that happens around the 12 week gestational age. Teigan was born with her intestines, liver and stomach on the outside of her body in a very thin sac. We are doing what is called the "paint and method" to help skin grow and thicken over top. She will have surgery in a few years from now to put all her organs back in her abdominal wall cavity once she is big enough.  While three weeks ago we made the hardest decision we've had to make so far in our six months of parenting, we opted to proceed with a tracheostomy procedure to better support her respiratory needs. Her omphalocele seems to be doing great and getting better day after day. Since the tracheostomy procedure, we are anticipating to bring her home within the next two months.

When Teigan finally gets to come home, she will require 24 hour nursing care along with the medical equipment needed to properly care for her. Even though we have medical insurance, we will still have many bills that are not covered. All donations made will be used to help Teigan get the care, special equipment, and future surgeries she needs to continue being a healthy little girl.  We would really appreciate any and all donations.
