Amazon Product Ruined My Life And Teeth

Hi My Name Is Cedar Stone,

My life was recently turned upside down by a AMAZON product
For  Whitening made for sensitive teeth. I naively bought the product because of its 4.5 rating and 6000+positive reviews. When the product arrivedI did three sessions with the teeth whitening and after three applications, I experienced the worst pain of my life and my teeth weren’t even whiter. I then went back and looked at the reviews again to see that 240 people had horrible experiences with this product and some were put out thousands of dollars they didn’t have like me because the product damaged their teeth so bad. 

I then reached out to my friend who is an attorney, and an amazon seller and he told me that this seller on amazon makes mid six figures a month on this one product. He also told me their reviews were fraudulent, as there was evidence of paying people to leave good reviews. This is strictly against Amazons guidelines to prevent sellers from forging false information about a product that might be unsafe or faulty.  More positive reviews also helps sellers gain an edge on other amazon competitors. You would think after I’d reach out to amazon the product would get taken down right since I have evidence? But thats not the case as Amazon is also profiting off this product, and since the product is making so much money they won’t take it down because then Amazon too would lose money. This is not okay and can hurt a lot of people just because they are scared to both lose money by taking it down. He said it would be a very hard case to prove but felt horrible for me because he saw the negative reviews as well and also knows how well I take care of my teeth.

After going to multiple dentists, phone calls to lawyers, emailing my smile with no response, and getting insurance, my bill was almost 12 thousand dollars as pictured below. I can’t afford that right now as I’m displaced because of corona and just dished out a lot of money to move across the country to be with family and on my new apartment. I’m a 23 year old photographer and don’t have a job and now have to live with this excruciating pain until I can afford it.I never have asked for help ever but this has effected my body as I can’t eat solid food so I am loosing a lot of weight, can’t sleep because of the pain, and can’t think because my body is so exhausted and malnourished.

Anything helps and is appreciated. Also please be careful what youbuy and let your dentist take care of your teeth, not amazon.
