Teen fights own disease

Spende geschützt
Hello, my name is Elijah Stacy and I am a 15-year-old  with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. I attend Centennial High School and I'm in the IB program, where I earned a 4.6 GPA last year. I'm also on the Mock Trial team there and have a deep interest in law.

I am starting a non-profit organization, called Destroy Duchenne, to bring awareness, educate and ultimately cure Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy to save young lives.

I am asking for a total of 600$ to help get the word out there about Muscular Dystrophy. The funds will be used to pay for a website to educate people about MD, pay for T-shirts and other merchandise that will bring awareness to the disease, and other things that will further the cause. The people that will benefit from your donation are people who suffer from Muscular Dystrophy because more people will be aware of the disease and this will help us lead to a cure.

I personally plan on meeting highly intelligent people who are working to cure this fatal disease and I truly believe this disease will be cured soon. Any donation will help, no matter the amount. If you cannot afford to donate at this time, but still care to help, you can always spread the word and bring more awareness to the disease. Thank you to everyone who contributes to further the cause.

Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy is a muscle wasting disease that breaks down the main trunk muscles in a person's body. It is also a fatal disease and most people die by their mid 20's.
