Since then Teddy has had several medical issues including seizures from his neuter surgery, and this past January he fractured his front leg which required orthopedic surgery to repair. Teddy has healed from his surgery wonderfully, and enjoys his time playing with his puppy brothers Enzo and Ollie.
Last month I was told that Teddy has a condition known as Medial Patellar Luxation in both of his hind legs. A luxating patella is caused by a congenital malformation which creates abnormal forces on the kneecap, causing it to slide out of the groove (called the patellar groove) in which it normally sits. This unfortunately means Teddy will require two more orthopedic surgeries to repair the MPL.
Despite all of the medical setbacks, Teddy continues to be a spunky, happy and loving puppy. As a single female with a mortgage and two other pups to care for, the financial burden has been a heavy one. That being said, I would do absolutely anything to make sure Teddy, Enzo and Ollie have the best quality of life, even if that means asking for the help of my family and friends. Any donation would be an absolute blessing. Thank you for reading Teddy's story. I am so grateful for your help.
