Teddy the Brave needs your help!

Teddy the brave.
Late last Friday night, we were contacted by a member of the public who had a kitten living in his backyard.
This kitten was born to a mother cat who had been abandoned when her people moved house. While Teddy’s rescuer was able to offer his mum a loving forever home, he was unable to commit to the care requirements that Teddy would obviously need.
Teddy was born with significant congenital deformities. Based on initial assessment, here’s what we know about Teddy’s condition so far:
- He has significant leg, pelvis and spine deformities.
- He has substantial pressure sores and urine burn from dragging himself around and being unable to move his legs to go to the toilet.
- He is emaciated, weighing a meagre 590g.
- He has internal and external parasites.
- He has maggots crawling out of his rectum.
Teddy has received treatment for internal and external parasites, fly strike and has had a much, much needed bath and cleanse of his open sores.
Despite the terrible cards Teddy has been dealt he is bright, cheerful, cuddly and the most divine little kitten that we have ever met.
Veterinary treatment will be sought in the coming days and to fully assess the extent of Teddy’s condition, his quality of life and his potential treatment options he will need some testing and imaging.
We desperately need your help to try and save Teddy. If you are able to donate anything, anything at all, we at Dreamer’s and Teddy would be forever grateful.
We have such a beautiful community here and we hope that you can also see that Teddy is worth it, and that he deserves a fighting chance at life.
