Housing for Maribel and her family

Maribel is a young Hispanic mother of 3 elementary school age children who is going through very difficult times. The father of her kids is a good provider but is currently incarcerated because of his undocumented status and scheduled for deportation, thus unable to support his kids. Maribel does not have a steady job and has managed to provide for her two sons and one daughter thanks to the kindness of strangers and some help from non-profit organizations. To make matters worse, the manager of the apartment complex where she has resided for more than three years evicted her unjustly. Because she does not speak English Maribel was not able to defend herself in court. This family needs to move this weekend to a new apartment and I am trying to raise enough monies to pay for 6 months’ rent so she can concentrate on finding a steady job, take English classes and study to obtain a GED. She has no family or friends in the United States and is counting on the efforts of strangers like me to support her. Can you help me help her?
