Medical Expenses for Chad Williams

Donation protected
With permission from the family, this account has been set up to help raise funds for medical and other financial burdens(mortgage, power, etc) for a father who was seriously injured while out of state Memorial weekend. Chad was seriously injured during a freak accident in West Virginia.  Chad and his wife have put every fiber of their being into making their son's dream of becoming a professional dirt bike racer become a reality.  While at an event Memorial Day weekend (a weekend that was supposed to be fun), Chad was struck by an ATV that veered off course during the Pro ATV race.  He suffered a seizure, loss of conciousness, a severe concussion, and a shattered right tibia and fibula and a fractured right shoulder blade and rib head and a broken tooth.  Surgery was postponed for almost 2 weeks due to severe swelling to the leg, blurred vision, and dizziness

(from the concussion).  Chad's son and wife were both present and witnessed the entire accident and are quite traumatized having witnessed their dad and husband have a seizure and then be unresponsive before regaining conciousness.  Chad was airlfted to the local hospital in West Virginia and has since been transported back home to North Carolina for surgery and follow up care.  The trauma specialist performed surgery Thursday June 5.  Chad is a delivery driver and loads and unloads hundreds of pounds of products per day going up and down ramps and drives a tractor trailer.  Upon learning the nature of his job, the doctor quickly determined that he will most likely be out of work for 8-12 months.  He will not be able to bear weight on that leg for approximately 3 months and it will take a long time to regain full strength due to the extent of damage and the bone reconstruction needed. Neurological consultation is also needed due to the severity of the concussion and seizure. Chad and his family are the type who would help you in a heart beat and have helped with fund raisers for others in their time of need. As their friends we are asking that we return the favor in their time of need.  As a parent myself I can't imagine the fear that Chad and Crystal feel right now with the unknown future. We can not imagine what the medical expenses alone will be with the air flight, out of state trauma care, surgery, hospital fees, physical and occupational therapy, etc...much less the loss of wages by being out of work for that long and the loss of wages while Crystal takes time off to help with the recovery.  We want to help Hunter and Crystal focus on getting Chad well and hope to relieve the stress of financial burdens.  This family has a strong bond and we know they will make it through, but as friends and family we should do our part.  The family did not ask for this account to be set up and were reluctant to let us do this because they don't want their burden to become someone else's. If you are able to contribute please do, if not please share.   Any donation amount is greatly appreciated.  Please continue lifting them up in your prayers.  This was an accident out of their control and they are suffering enough already with the mental/emotional trauma from that day.  Hopefully your help can relieve some of the worry and stress regarding medical bills, mortgage, etc.  Thank You
