Friends and family,
Our friend, Whitney, a beloved member of our ultrasound family at St. Jude Medical Center was recently diagnosed with stage 4 melanoma, at a tragically young age of 33. For over six years, Whitney has blessed our hospital with her warm demeanor and angelic voice. And through those years we have become extremely attached to her kind heart and genuine compassion for patients. We are devastated by recent events but remain hopeful, and determined to support Whitney and her loved ones.
Whitney lives with her life-partner, Marcos, and 12 year old Isaiah, a son whom she calls her own. The unexpected loss of her income has made it financially impossible for Marcos to take additional time off. Whitney's mom, Janet, has taken time off of work to take care of her only child, but is unable to help with the mounting medical expenses.
Whitney has given so much to the world. Our community of friends and family must take this opportunity to lend a hand and give a little back.
