As many of you know, Robert Galvin's wife, Valerie, was recently diagnosed with stage IV glioblastoma (an aggressive brain tumor. )
Valerie underwent near-complete resection of the tumor on March 27th, but unfortunately, on repeat scans, the cancer is returning, and she will undergo treatment soon.
Robert is a second-year pediatrics resident at the University of Minnesota, and his wife Valerie is a student in the Twin Cities. With their permission, I'm sharing their story on gofundme. We would like to do what we can to help them out with upcoming medical expenses or just the ability to get out of town and relax when they get a chance.
Basically- we (the pediatric residents) want to use this page as a way to raise funds, send love, and let Valerie and Robert know that we are behind her 100% as she fights this!! Valerie states she's just taking things one day at a time, and I'm in awe of how both she and Robert are approaching this shocking news with grace and by supporting each other. They are both truly amazing and awesome people!
