Hi, we are the Lenti's and we are asking for some help to get us through our childs premature birth. It started with a little test in February that told us we were going to be new parents come October. After a rough 1st Trimester my Wife was forced to leave her job due to pregnancy symptoms. We found out we were having a boy at our gender reveal party on June 12, Less than 24 hours later my wife started having contractions. On June 14th at 03:24 AM Our son David James Vavega Lenti was born 17 weeks early at 1 LB 5.9 Oz. It all happened pretty fast.
 He  was born without skin, and most of his body was too immature to function without life support. Since then has fought 5 life threatening infections, and gone through 2 surgeries, is expecting a 3rd soon, and a 4th within the next year. Today our son is now  over 100 days old, he is succesfully eating through a g-tube, (a tube that allows us to put the food directly into his stomach) and going potty(#2) with an ostomy (a little hole at the end of his intestines that waste comes out of). His vision is improving, he is starting to make his own blood, and he is 5Lbs & 10.7 Oz. He has a low level of breathing support and is just making his first sounds!
   Life continues outside the hospital though. With only one of us working and both of us commuting back and forth from Parkland to Downtown Tacoma; to give our son the support he needs, we have been living at the "Treehouse." The Treehouse is a building next to the hospital for temporary living to be close to your loved one, while they are in the hospital. We've been adjusting our lives and trying to get everything and everyone ready for him to come home, yet our electricity was just shut off for the second time since our son was born. Finding gas money to get to work is a daily struggle, and now our car is in bad shape. With Tuai supporting David and Myself working as much as I can, we are asking for some help.
