Our almost two year old son, Otto, was just diagnosed with ALL a type of leukemia. We are looking to raise money for medical bills, traveling cost to Blank Hospital, and to cover the cost of any time off work we need. We are currently three weeks into his diagnosis and have spent 15 days in the hospital already.
He is currently undergoing chemotherapy with several transfusion and spinal taps. His treatment is on an almost four year time line and at the end he should be cured and able to live a full life with minor side effects.
These first three weeks have been rough on him, the steroid has major side effects like moodiness, hunger, and achy bones. His platelets which help to prevent bruising and to clot the blood when there's a cut, have been very low and have now cause some bone bruising at the site of his bone marrow extraction.
Otto has an almost four year old sister that he loved bothering and being around, he also has four other siblings who he adored and followed around like a little puppy, but now he wants only to be left alone. Hopefully when these steroids are done we will have our Ottie back :).
The goal number is just that, a goal, any and all help would be appreciated.
