On August 7th our son was born after a traumatic labor and delivery unexpectedly having Downs Syndrome as well as a severe AV Heart Canal Defect and Coarchtation of the Aorta. August 13th he had his first of three heart surgeries. They repaired the coarch and placed a band around the pulmonary artery. He is still in the PICU at the Children's Hospital trying to recover and get well enough that we can take him home until his next surgery between 3-6 months of age.

In this time our family has encoured traveling, hotel, food, and medical expenses. We are currently staying in a trailer in the hospital parking lot.
