Soldier's son fights for his life

Just days before Thanksgiving, Mason a happy and playful 19 month old fell at home. It was an ordinary fall for a toddler; except for a strange bump on his belly. Mom, Jessica and dad, Justin made what they thought would be a routine trip to the doctor to check it out.

The next few hours were agonizing. Mason was diagnosed with Hepatoblastoma, a childhood cancer and it was stage 4.  

Chemotherapy started within days of his diagnosis. Mason spent the next month in the hospital.

He has now had multiple surgeries, feeding tube and the ups and downs of Chemo.

The journey a family endures during this scary time is lonely and painful. Jessica won't leave Masons side- sometimes not eating, bathing or sleeping. Justin has faced 2 tours over seas, 1 tour in Afghanistan and 1 tour in Saudi Arabia- but coming home to battle cancer is even more frightening. Justin is currently working full time and is active in the reserves. I can't describe the emotional toll this has taken on both Justin and Jessica as well as big sister Zoey.

As we lift this family and precious baby up in prayer, we ask for healing and blessings for this family. We believe in miracles!
