Jimmelynn Garland Rice has always generously helped and loved others in their time of need. Now, she is in the fight of her life - and it's time for us to help her in her time of need!
The instant you meet Jimmelynn, you realize her heart is as big as the globe.You are immediately captivated and pulled into the warmth of her huge welcoming hug, and feel safe, accepted, and deeply loved. You have become her 'family'! Her joy of life and heart of gratitude are contagious!
I don't know of anyone who has so greatly impacted more lives than Jimmelynn.
Jimmelynn's purpose, life-calling and mission from God is to reach the globe and every life she touches and inspires with her trademarked words that forever changes your life: "You are welcome, wanted, valued, and loved...more than you can imagine".
Jimme is a visionary leader, mentor, friend, and has spent her life humbly serving God as a worship leader, pastor's wife, public school teacher and music educator, mother, and Founder/CEO of Girls Nite In International.
As a little girl growing up in South Carolina, it became clear that God had His hand on Jimme and placed a special calling, passion, and purpose on her life.
While teaching at a public high school in 2008, Jimme became keenly aware of struggles our teens face daily. Jimme so wisely states that "Our teens do not live in a PG-13 world... they are trapped in R and X-rated constantly." Jimme began a group for teen girls called Girls Nite In International , which quickly exploded into a global movement with affiliate groups across the country and around the world. Girls Nite In International (www.girlsnitein.org) is a global mission nonprofit work mentoring, empowering, and providing a safe refuge, guidance, and HOPE to teen girls by addressing real-life issues.
In 2009, Jimme and her husband, Rodney, co-founded a new church in the Indianapolis area (Brownsburg, IN). Jimme and Rodney have strategically created a culture of love and joy. Church@Main is an authentic, real, passionate community of Christ followers who are wholeheartedly abandoned to God.
Jimmelynn is now in the fight of her life with advanced/late-stage Lyme Disease. She began experiencing debilitating symptoms in early 2015 and desperately searched for answers from over a dozen doctors and specialists. In August of 2015, she finally received an accurate diagnosis of the 3 disease processes that were destroying her body from Dr. Gordon Crozier:
1. Advanced, Late stage Lyme Disease -Neuroborreliosis
2. An aggressive, parasite infection (acquired doing mission work in Argentina launching a chapter of Girls Nite In International)
3. Heavy metal poisoning and mold toxicity
Since January of 2015, Jimmelynn has deteriorated from a high-capacity leader with a high-capacity for relationships, full of life and energy, articulate, with a captivating personality - to someone who struggles to communicate, process, and articulate complete thoughts, has no capacity or stamina for relationships, and is often completely homebound with excruciating pain and debilitating headaches, lack of strength and stamina, and cognitive, neurological and physical struggles.
Jimmelynn has been in treatment (off-and-on) with Dr. Gordon Crozier at Crozier Clinic in Lake Mary, FL since August of 2015. Dr. Crozier believes that Jimme can and WILL make a significant recovery, but has stressed that it will take time.
Jimme and Rodney are feeling the huge financial strain of medical expenses. The brutal IV treatment ("chemo on steroids") Jimme has been undergoing since 2015 is not covered by insurance at all. All of her treatment expenses are completely out-of-pocket. Additionally, they incur airfare and lodging expenses with each trip to Florida for treatment. Her weekly IV treatment must be paid for up-front before treatment is administered.
This year alone, the out-of-pocket medical and travel expenses will exceed $75,000.
Jimme is desperate to jump back into life. Her will to live and her passion for helping others is as strong as ever. Jimme is NOT a quitter and she will NOT allow Lyme to win.
I don't know of anyone more loved or prayed for in our community and around the globe than Jimme. She has positively impacted SO many lives. As her daughter, I cannot go anywhere in or near Indianapolis without someone asking me how my mama is doing. She is loved and cared for by SO many... Because SHE has poured herself into others for so long.
Please help me show her how much SHE is loved by giving HER some HELP, encouragement, and financial relief from the enormous medical expenses.
I, along with many others around the globe, are confident that God is NOT done with Jimme yet! She has SO much more to accomplish - so many other lives to touch and influence. Her passion is burning and she is not giving up! We would be so grateful for your help! Thank you!!!
